The joy of hearing children yell in excitement as they ran from game to game was priceless. I sat and watched grandparent after grandparent enter the establishment with their grandchildren waiting to get their tokens. I saw some sitting at the tables while others played the games with the children. As the children ran around, and played with other children, I couldn’t help but think how awesome it must be to love through their eyes.

We cheered them on as they screamed about winning their tickets. When their tokens were gone, they would run back with their hands opened for additional tokens. We were all in the same boat! We gave in, and kept giving the children more tokens to continue playing. To the children, it didn’t matter if they won one ticket or one hundred. The sparkle in their eyes brought so much love and life to us. If only we could love through their eyes.

I witnessed strangers become acquaintances while playing and riding on the different games. The children were sharing their tickets, and taking pictures with their new friends. What would our world look like if we would love through their eyes?

Watching the children interact taught me a lesson. They are carefree, and rarely hold a grudge, when they are involved in any form of altercation. They fight it out, and go right back to playing. Their love for one another is unconditional, when adults refrain from skewing their views, and thoughts. Will we ever love through their eyes?

If only were like children, and chose to love through their eyes, we would experience love beyond measure. We would be able to agree to disagree without sabotaging our relationships with one another. Will you love through their eyes?
