You never know what someone is experiencing or may be feeling!!! You never know what a person is thinking.

I’ve learned to look through the eyes of other people. It is important to see another person’s perspective. It isn’t always easy to consider the feelings of the next person, before you react, but it is necessary.

I was in the dentist office recently, and as soon as I walked in the door, the accounts manager addressed me about my account. I stood there and listened as she went on and on about failing to meet my obligation. I made several attempts to explain why I couldn’t make a payment right then, but she continued fussing about me not paying. She even threatened to not complete the work that was scheduled during my visit.

My first thought was to fire back at her, but that wouldn’t solve anything. Striking back only escalates a situation. I politely asked to speak with my doctor and informed her that I would discuss it further with him.

I’m sharing this story with you because you just never know what people are going through!!! I may look like I should have the money to make any payment necessary, but that is not always the case. Things come up and things happen that interrupt our plans. She wasn’t concerned about my reason, excuse nor good customer service. Her focus was very clear. But you just never know!!!

Long story short, she apologized, and since has gone above and beyond to make things right between us.

Below are 5 facts to consider when dealing with people:

1. Look at the situation from the other person’s perspective – You never know what a person may be going through.

2. Learn to think before you speak or respond to people in a negative manner – You never know what a person has going on, or how he/she will respond to you.

3. Listen with an empathetic heart – You never know what’s on a person’s mind.

4. Love your neighbor (people) as yourself – You never know if your neighbor lives by the golden rule.

5. Live your life so that others will speak positive about you – You never know who other people may know.

You never know who you will meet the during a day. You never know the impact you may have on someone’s life.

View others through the lens of love while impacting their life in a positive manner!!!

You never know who they are (they could be an Angel).

You just never know!!!
