Stop with the lies!!! Every lie we tell leads to a another lie. Lying is unacceptable, regardless of who is telling it. Justifying lies or labeling them as “alternative facts” does not make it acceptable.

Lies have destroyed more families, relationships and lives than we can begin to imagine. Enough Already!!!

Tip 1: Tell the truth.

The truth gives you liberty. It is not acceptable to just lie. Tell the truth because it’s the honorable thing to do!!! Enough Already!!!

I experienced a situation where a child told me an unnecessary lie without thinking about the consequences. She was so convincing that I bought the hook, line and sinker. Days later the truth surfaced, and I realized I had been hoodwinked. Should she get away with the lie because she chose to apologize and justify her reasoning for lying? Absolutely not!!! Forgiveness is in order, but she must be held accountable for her inappropriate actions.

Tip 2: Be accountable for your actions.

People expect us to be truthful to the best of our ability, and hold us accountable when we offer “alternative facts.” Taking accountability for your actions shows a sign of maturity. When we speak truth, we never have to feel anxious or overwhelmed. Truth will be truth every time we tell it!!!

Tip 3: Be an expert of your shared information.

If you are not an expert of your information don’t share it. Do your homework before you speak or write.

We just never know who is listening or reading. Think about what you are going to say before you say, and decide if you should say it.

Enough Already with lying to others, on others, or just stating “alternative facts.” Lying causes unnecessary hurt, disappointment, and drama that can be avoided by simply telling the truth!!!

Enough Already!!!
