Having our website down for a week has given me a chance to think about how delays affect our lives. Thoughts of spending countless hours asking people to follow us, and read our blogs, only to have them visit the site, and read a sign that states “Sorry we are doing some work on the site” can be disappointing.

After two days, the site was Still Under Construction, and my excitement shifted to panic mode. I was facing a longer than expected delay.

When we are going through in life, and our backs are against the wall, we don’t care about things being perfect, looking cute, or who helps us. We just want to get to the other side of through.

That’s how I was feeling about the site, just get it finished, didn’t matter if it was beautiful, perfect or who did it, I just wanted it done!!!

As I reflect on my life, I realize that I am still under construction. Life is a process, and it is necessary to embrace the process to avoid further delays.

Just when you think you are getting on the right track, and things are beginning to look up, you find yourself in the midst of a delay. The opportunity to update my website brought excitement and joy, but when things didn’t go as scheduled I found myself in a helpless situation.

I had to depend on someone else to make it happen. I longed to help push the process quicker only to find out that it was still under construction. As I thought about the delay, and the frustration of having to wait, I was reminded that we too are still under construction.

Here are a few Tidbits to remember:

Tidbit 1. There are times we need to take a break from the cares of this world, and be refreshed.

Tidbit 2. There are times we need someone to help us be repaired.

Tidbit 3. There are times we need to get rid of the old and be replenished.

Tidbit 4. There are times we need to delete everything and be restored.

We are still under construction. Embrace the time of construction (process), and be refreshed, repaired, replenished, and restored. Still Under Construction
